Note To A Habitual Writer

- July 10, 2009, 3:27 pm | Sum Poems

To the person who sits in this cubical
at night: Stop writing
on my things. I work hard for them.
Respect me.

I do not like the rain on black tulips
written on my calendar.
And I`m sorry your dad died,
your woman left,
your watch stopped,
but we have to work together.

If I have something here you don`t like --
shove it under the desk.

The poem you wrote on my mouse pad,
the one about a kiss tasting
like the sky, is not appreciated.

The words are rubbing off on my sleeve.
